International speaker and author, Mahtob Mahmoody will be here in Melbourne to share her inspiring story of hope at Central Middle School on Friday, Janaury 20 at 6:00 PM.

Mahtob is the daughter of Betty Mahmoody who is best known for her book, Not Without My Daughter. The book is an account of their escape from Iran after being held hostage by Mahtob's father It inspired a Hollywood film of the same name which drew much attention to the flawed laws governing international child-custody.

Mahtob has written her memoir, My Name is Mahtob. She will tell of her captivity and escape, but even more remarkable, she shares her journey of healing and forgiveness.

Please invite everyone you can to this presentation. This is so, so worthwhile! On a personal note, we met Mahtob when she was seven years old. Her first teacher in America was Mrs. Ruth Hatzung who was Mary's mother.
